OS: windows 7 64 bit

HDD: Hitachi laptop hard drive for games storage

The Issue: The symptoms of the issue are that some portion of my hardware is either faulty, or there's some driver interfering with windows pre-installed drivers. The problem occurs when I access the web my connection is intermittent, drops randomly, ping shoots through the roof randomly, random disconnects. On top of that when the connection does drop and I'm watching a video, the feed will stutter. For instance, when watching linus' videos and funboxings the audio will stutter very loudly on whatever he was saying at the time. I can recreate the problem when a video is loading (adobe flash) and i'll start another tab to go to the forum or w/e it will try to connect to the website while loading the video, and the system will hang and do that audio issue. Another symptom is that when playing world of tanks the connection will cut on/off consistently there's no stable connection. Far Cry 3 will also display this problem especially when listening to some music off of youtube at the same time. (nothing makes you feel more BA running around like a madman in the jungle with Guns N' roses' Welcome to the jungle playing). Again the audio will stutter, system will hang, and It makes doing anything on the PC next to impossible.

I think one of my components in bad, or I've got terrible drivers for my wireless card I've never really been able to resolve the issue. Did a clean install of windows, changed the video card, changed the slots of my wireless card, and video card, tried different power cables, re-seated the heatsink with new TIM, tinkered with the ram speeds (downclocked), rebuilt my pc, and installed all the nessacary drivers. ALL to no avail... :'""""(

Help I need somebody, not just anybody.

I'm going to hand my pc over to an experienced tech if this issue persists, and if nessacary return my cpu, motherboard, ram, or whatever is causing the issue.

Hmm, maybe its your routers problem? Try using cables and see if problem persists...

Gotta move my pc for that, and was just going to try that as a last resort. That way I can diagnose if it's a driver issue with my wireless card, or some other piece of hardware. The stuttering makes my pc unreliable, and I need it for school work.

Thanks will report back.

Try with other WiFi devices... Another laptop or with phone but with a laptop it would be easier...

It's not a problem with the network, other devices using the wireless are fine it's not the network at my house. It's something to do with data not getting somewhere within the pc, and therefore causing the stutter that I'm hearing/seeing. Causing programs to lock up when they call for to much data; such as, a browser calling for data, that data not being available in combination with terrible drivers from rosewill/microsoft.

Well then either its a driver problem or the card itself is damaged... Also how did it act with the wire?

If its you wifi signal (ie it works with a cable) get a power line adapter you can get them on ebay for £22 or there abouts. 200mb lan over you home wires. very good for getting round spotty wifi

Okay reporting back after being on wire after a while. The issue did not occur at all while I was on wire close to the router; however, an issue while I'm in game also occurs. It's almost a constant jitter, but I'm willing to tolerate that over the terrible wireless card that i've got now.

Have you ever heard of a wireless card that can cause a system to hang? I certainly havn't, but my dad who is an electrical engineer, and knows his stuff for the most part seems to think that it's plausable. Even now on this wireless network at night the connection is awful, intermittent at best. Speedtest.net gave me a rating on 4.00 mbps when I was using wired I was getting 45mpbs through comcast, and 7mbps real world download speed through steam.

Going to grab a little usb wireless dongle adapter to verify that It's my wireless card that's causing the issue. Oh well, I paid like 7 dollars for it from newegg when it had a coupon code for it. The other one i've got did fine in the other computer.

Thanks for the feedback guys in my past responses I may have come off as an ass, sorry about that... was a little frustrated that my nice new rig won't work properly

Maybe get a little bit more powerful card... or more powerful router :)
