Quick Question on GPU Driver Compatibility

Hi, so one of these days, I can see myself buying graphics cards like a GTX 1050 Ti, GTX 780 Ti, and maybe even an RTX 2070 if I feel comfortable enough to break the bank.

Currently, I have a GTX 1060 on Nvidia driver version 416.34.

The question is, can I in theory, swap out my GTX 1060 to say a GTX 1050 Ti, or an RTX 2070 for example, and just boot my PC up, without having to switch drivers over?

Yes. It's exactly what I did with my 970 -> 1080ti upgrade.

I did end up using DDU to reinstall the drivers, but for an unrelated reason. The 1080ti was immediately recognized by all of my drivers and overclocking software without me having to change anything else.

Ah, interesting. Now my itch to try different graphics cards grows greater! ;)
