So I'm at 4Ghz and 2400Mhz via XMP stable for a 9 hour run of OCCT large data sets.

I'm using VDROOP disable and auto VCORE voltage.

I've had it at 4.3Ghz using override VCORE at 1.3V but with limited stability. (system hangs, BSODs etc.)

I've seen people at 4.5Ghz using voltages as low as 1.25V, I don't have very much experience overclocking. Is there any thing else I could be doing different to achieve higher than 4Ghz with stability?

I'm not sure where CPUz is getting the temp of 52C, I'm currently idling at 27 - 32 across all cores and at load this is the hottest core:

Get a binned CPU. Or probably any J batch 5820K. Some late L processors might work too.

Having a good board and cooler that doesn't suck helps too.

Give it more voltage. You have enough temperature head room. Once you get into the low 80s then I'd stop for everyday use. My every day OC for my 5820K was 4.3GHz @ 1.286v. I got it up to 4.5GHz @ I think around 1.33 or 1.34v, but it was pretty hot (like 85 on hottest core).

Cheers, low 80 for load right? And with your 4.3, was it by increasing the multiplier?

Yeah, no baseclock oc for me. I believe on Haswell-e you want to keep it around 1.35v so try to stick around there. It was either 1.35 or 1.4... Oh well. You'll be fine either way

5930k @4.5 ghz 1.32v.  (45 on all cores, no baseclock changeI have a 360mm AIO and it doesnt go above 76 ever. I can get 4.6 and 1.344 but it doesnt like Adobe premeire . I could try 1.4v but alas im fine with 45 and 1.32, the extra 100 mhz isnt worth it at that voltage.

5820k Try 4.5 @ 1.32. https://siliconlottery.com/pages/statistics should give you an idea of whats probably gonna happen

Was the voltage at constant 1.32?

It didn’t like 4.4 at 1.296v. Died after 7 seconds, but ran for 90 mins at 4.3 at 1.28v.

At this point would you do more or less voltage?

My 5820k is barely stable at 4100 at 1.275v.
I call BS on people getting 4500+.  Just because you can get through a Aida64 run long enough to get a score doesn't mean crap.  Run OCCT or P95 for an hour and I can take your OC seriously.  IMO the likely successful OC for a 5820k is 4100Mhz, not 4500 as many OC guides claim.
