this may be a stupid question but does anyone know if we will be able to use the steambox controller on a normal pc like the 360 controller?

I dont know for sure, but I would assume so. Even if valve doesnt support it (which i cant imagine happening) im sure somebody would find out how to easily-ish mod it.

I would assume so, it probably connects via a USB dongle or Bluetooth.

Logically, yes. They're not forcing it to only work with SteamOS or a Steam Machine, as that defeats their purpose of giving the user freedom over every aspect of it. 

Looking forward to the Steam controller becoming available. Hopefully it'll launch as soon as most Steam Machines are launched.
