Hey, I have a question if a Dark Rock Pro 4 would fit in a Photios 250, I´m kinda confused about the "depth (????)"  of the cooler and would need advice. I´d like to get my i5 8600k to 5GHZ, and if the Dark Rock Pro 4 doesn´t fit - Any other recommendations?

Cooler is 162,8mm tall, case fits up to 155mm, so that wont work.

The Cryorig H7 would be an alternative, but it is a bit louder (or cools less if you have it at the same noise level).

The H7 is both louder and worse at cooling.

at those freq it is highly recommended you go with a CLC or AIO it also has advantage of being able to place rad were it will fit.

I´ll be considering the H7, are there any other considerably good coolers under 155mm height?

If you are height limited then a top flow cooler is a great choice. Either a Noctua NH-C14S or DarkRock TF would work great in this instance.

I did some research on my case but I didn´t find really anything to it. It only says "maximum CPU Cooler height 155mm", I have no idea about cases and I got this case recommended a couple times. I´m not sure if the Dark Rock TF will fit? It also doesn´t say anything about max Length and width

Case: Photios 250

Yes the DRTF fits. The cooler doesn't extend past the motherboard so the height is the usually the only spec that matters.

Despite the cooler fitting, it's suboptimal in a case like the Photios 250 since the fan is facing a solid panel instead of an open mesh. A traditional tower style heatsink would be better since it could face the same direction as the case fans.

The DRTF (And C14S) are only about 130mm tall. He has 155mm of space. That's 25 mm of space above the cooler which is more than plenty. So long as he has his case fans setup good it's not a problem. The sheer beefiness of these coolers far outweighs the airflow provided by a smaller tower cooler. Also a top flow cooler has the benefit of cooling VRMs on the motherboard better.

Both the DR TF and NH-C14s are about the same lateral dimensions as an ITX motherboard. So if you have an ATX case it will definitely fit if it's short enough. Which these are.

That's why you you compare the cooler to one of a similar size instead.

A similar sized tower cooler won't fit in his case.

The Mugen 5 Rev. B is an example that fits in the case and would probably perform better.
