Hello everyone

I am wondering if the build I am going to build, which I have linked is any good. I am planning on some streaming and video recording and of course gaming. Not planning to overclock the CPU, and I plan to use the stock cooler.

I am unsure if this is the right stuff to get, but I am curious to see what you all will say.

If you got any recommendations for my build, please let me know, however I am not planning to switch to another Ryzen CPU, just FYI.

I hope you are interested in helping

*Note: I will buy these parts off Amazon.de, as I live in Denmark, so prices may vary*

Thanks in advance,

Shinion

You should probably add a PSU, Graphics card, SSD, HDD, and case.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Looks like a great build

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

I have changed it now, but I have not yet added a PSU and HDD as I already have that.

Which PSU exactly? You wouldn't want an older low quality unit to power a brand new rig.

repeating the question from @NelizMastr, but also some other ones.

where are you using it for?

How much do you want to spend?

Would you have a problem to let the master utility overclock your cpu and not buying an x version?

any other preferences I should take into my own list?

Sounds like a great build, but keep in mind that you'll want an 800 W PSU at least and that performance is very slightly better with an Intel chip. You might also want a 1 or 2 TB HDD if you want to store more games and videos. Honestly a great value though because the 2080 Ti is not worth the price.

I have a 1 TB HDD and a 500GB SSD in my current pc, so I can transfer that.

i would buy amd, much better value at the moment, i would also think about getting higher clocked ram as ryzen loves faster ram and it may only cost a few extra dollars

e.g. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/VtL48d/gskill-ripjaws-v-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c19d-16gvrb

only 20 dollars more but will preform better:)

Have a nice day:)

Hello everyone

I hope you all can help me, as I want to do some light streaming and videogame recording with my new pc, however I am not sure what would be good to get.

I am looking for an Intel build, so please check out the linked below list, and I would greatly appreciate any help.

*NOTE: The SSD and GPU is what I have in my current pc, and will also use for the new one, just FYI*

What's your budget, and what games do you play? What resolution and refresh rate?

I plan to get a 144hz 1080p monitor, and I like to play games like, World of Warcraft, Dead by Daylight and sometimes Fortnite.

About $900-$950 is where my budget is.

Do you plan to re use the power supply from your current build, if so what is it?

It is a 600W Bronze PSU, but I think it will do

No rhymes intended

Yeah, that should be okay.

Comes out to about $941 usd without the gpu and ssd

970 Evo as a boot drive, 2tb hdd for mass storage and 850 evo for games

There's a 240mm AIO which can help if you want to overclock

Oh okay :)

Do you have any other mobo recommendations?

This build is actually very expensive compared to a Ryzen 7 2700x build I considered.

-I've used Gigabyte's AORUS Gaming Motherboards(the one with inbuilt wifi) and it's pretty good. \

Honestly though, if you want to do streaming, then ryzen might be a better choice due to it having more cores and threads.

I switched the cpu to a 2700x, motherboard to x470 and ram to 3200mhz. It's about $100 cheaper

Does it even matter what you're dad wants your PC to have? As long as it suits your needs and it's a good value to you, then go through with the original deal!

Has your dad heard of Ryzen and its great multi threaded performance for a great price compared to the skyrocketing price of Intel CPUs right now?
