New Over-ear Headphone and DAC recommend both for $200-250 all together?

I need something special like louder clarity for ease to hearing vocals than heavy bass over-ear headphone, but I want more light bassy so I can feeling music since I'm deaf.   And I really need DAC sound box(very important)!  No more gaming headset!  I have hard time to hearing vocals all over bass, women voices sound like men(?)....   Any recommend both at $200-250?

That's one(E10K) I staring for while ago, but I'm not sure that's still good at long term.

Headphone or headset?  You could get a headphone with a detachable mic.

The Sennheiser HD 6XX I have has the clearest vocals out of all the headphones I own.  There are also HIFI shops in Atlanta that might be able to point you in the right direction.  You might be able to try out a variety of headphones.

How about HD 5XX? Is it good as HD 6XX? I trying low as around $150-175  for the headphones, then maybe buying Schiit Fulla DAC/AMP?

Are you talking about the  HD 58X?  I havn't used those however, I have heard good things about those.  The Schiit can power them.

Schiit has a solid shipping and customer service department. I imported my Schiit products into Canada and they arrived unmolested and w/in 2-4 business days. I’ve had no buyer’s remose.

 

The HD5xx and HD6xx are 2 different beasts.  Better? Worse? No, I’d say just different. I went the HD6xx (a clone of the Sennheiser HD650) & am very satisfied with them (Senheisser’s are fiendishly expensive here in Ontario).

If you have cochlear implants or other aids, I suspect the spacious and form-fitting Senheiser foam cups will be a hell of a lot more comfortable. Just my 2 cents...

Nope, I never wear cochlear implants, and I quitted to wear the hearing aids and never worn it again since I was 12 years old(that's about 22 years ago, wow).

I planning to get HD6xx and Schiit Fulla.  This is my first experience to wearing a better headphone, and  using a good DAC|AMP.
