Get a RX 580! Cant beat this price to performance 

Its faster than the 1060 and cheaper

The rest is a decent build! Not my choice of case but its fine

Overpriced 1060, even for a 6GB model (which it isnt, it's a 3GB which is worth at best $250).

 

RX 580 4GB for $250, can't beat that

This is probably a very nooby question but are amd cards basically the same setup as nividias? I’ve only built one other pc and it had a 1060.

 

 

also what is the equivalent to a1060 is it 580?

Yep exactly the same setup and yes the 580 is even like ~15% faster and cheaper

you will just need to download other drivers from the AMD website 

 

Get AMD!

Both are pretty much grabbing drivers and software (Nvidia has Geforce experience, AMD has Readon settings) and installing them.

 

1060 6gb's equivalent is the RX 580. 1060 3gb's equivalent is the RX 570.

4 and 8, but doesnt affect their performance at 1080p because AMD didnt nerf the GPU of same models with different memory.
