Do I really need hard drive?

So I was going to get MX500 250gb 2.5 SSD and 1TB barracuda hdd. But after checking price of MX500 500gb I realized that If I would not buy Hard drive and 250gb ssd, I would actually get 500gb ssd cheaper than 1tb hdd and 250gb. But I dont think I really need Hard drive, if I am going to install all my games on SSD. I will have very few photos/videos, because it will be gaming pc, because on my pc I have only games, discord, spotify and few applications.. And thats all. Or do you think I need hard drive?

What games do you play? Lots of newer games take 30-90GB or even more to install, so if you install 5 or so there goes your 500GB of storage.

So 90% of your usage will be games, just check the size of the games you play/plan on playing, some are 100GB+. I have a buttload of games installed on mine, about 1.5TB. And just to remember, you'll have about 465GB free, probably, which goes down to 440GB with Windows and a few programs, so it fits about 5 GTA Vs. Also remember to never, EVER fill your SSD, it causes write amplification which kills the SSD faster, to a point it might matter, so keep always at the very least 10% free, which leaves you with actually about 400GB free.

I am going to have R6s, rust, pubg, ark, csgo, rocket league and thats it. Maybe more in the future

You can always just buy the hard drive later if you run out of space. Might as well buy the 500GB SSD now and save up for storage expansion in the future.

Defo get the HDD and SSD, R6S takes 90GB by itself, and IIRC ARK is similar. The others won't take that much space, but if you get more games in the future it'll get pretty cramped pretty quick. SSD doesn't really make a difference in games anyways unless it's Star Citizen or something.

I am gonna buy the hard drive later, because the games I listed are okay with that 500gb ssd. And when I will get some very big ass games in the future I buy hdd then. Does that sound clever?

Good idea to me. That's usually what I recommend for people I build computers for.

What ssd are you looking to get? I’d just get a 1TB SSD, but if budget doesn’t permit, 500GB is fine for a gamer only oriented build.
