Man $800 AUD is really not a lot. It was a struggle to put this together and not be forced to buy a PSU that will literally burn your house down. 8GB of RAM is a necessary minimum. Some games most likely won't even boot on 4GB. The PSU is non-negotiable also, it can brick your entire system. I managed to find a 4GB RX 580 for a good price. For those wondering, the 570 and 580 are basically the same price in AU, hence the 580 in 4GB.

4gb of ram is useless for gaming, 8gb is the minimum. PSU is poor quality, get a Corsair CX instead.

except you cant put team ram with ryzen, sorry been there done that.

ryzen is really finicky with its ram compatibility

Single channel memory is not the way to go, a single 240GB SSD is extremely limiting, and the Ryzen 5 1400 takes away one quarter of the already tiny budget. That's not a good solution

@FuryBoii it might help if we had an idea of what you dont need, unless you can get that link working.

 

ie do you really need a new case? mouse, keyboard and monitor, what about hard drives?

would you need to buy a copy of windows?

Although i personally wont bother with putting anything less than 16gig ram in a new system now.
