New cpu buying advice

Hi I currently have a i5 7600k ocd to 5ghz and a 1080 duke I want a i7 because they are better then i5s but which one should I get 8700k or 9700k I plan on maxing out the on for maximum speed or should I wait for next years chips I stream often and I find my cpu can’t handle streaming my stream seems to lag a lot

You can look for a used 7700K and compare that to the prices of an 8700K/9700K+MoBO or Ryzen 7 2700(x)+MoBo. All three of those would be good options If you decide to upgrade.

If you are streaming then you're going to want to look into either a 8700K/9700K or a 2700X. The 7700K can do casual streaming via NVENC, but it struggles a lot if you use x264 encoding.
