Clean motherboard?

**IF THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT PLACE TO POST THIS PM ME** I am wanting to know if I can clean a motherboard with the hose like if I haven't used it in a few weeks.

It all depends.  Are you talking about an air hose from a compressor or a water hose from the garden?

then why not rinse with alcohol from the start?

Water and electronics dont mix. Never wash anything in a computer with water, especially a pressurized hose.

water and electricity don't mix water and electronics is actually fine you just have to make sure to dry it right

I'd be afraid of corrosion in tight spaces. I'd definitely rinse with a mild solvent with high vapor pressure.

that issue tend to only be with large bgas which you can usually clear out with a heat gun carefully or compressed air

I just use an air compressor. Why not use that or those air cans?

Just throw it on the carpet and run the vacuum over it a few times.

Really the most important things are to not clean it with alcohol while the power's connected (basically take it out of the case and let it sit for a while first) and to make sure it's clean and dry before you reconnect power to it.  Fried components or humans aren't fun.  At least not if you have any financial or emotional or personal attachment.
