W10 on optane?

Go to solution Solved by porina,

Win10 can fit in 32GB but I think it goes into compact mode, which may impact performance. This is used in ultra-low cost netbooks for example, which only have 32GB eMMC.

My gaming system uses an Optane 900P 280GB for OS and other things. I really can't say it feels any faster than any other decent SSD. I would recommend not bothering with Optane modules unless you want to try using it to speed up a storage HD.

Hi guys,

I am about to acquire an Optane Module 32gb.
As W10 64bits requires 20gb available, do I have everything to win by installing windows on my Optane module?

Bests,
Guillaume
