So yesterday morning I tried to overclock my Ryzen 5 1600 using a guide I saw online and it didn’t work at all. I tried to do it through the Master Ryzen App by changing speed and voltage control. I think I may have have put too much voltage. So basically after I applied the new settings it rebooted and everything was fine. Then I wanted to go into the app and change them back and save the overclocking profile for later. When I opened the app my screen when black and said no HDMI cord connected. I restarted my PC multiple times and whenever I went into the app my screen went black and said no connection over and over. I then turned off my computer and booted it back up in UEFI and loaded default settings. After I applied them and rebooted I bow get a BSOD loop. I tried resetting the CMOS on my ASRock x370 killer/sli motherboard by taking out the battery and moving the thingy to the respective prongs. I tried starting in safe mode but it won’t work. I somehow got into safe mode with command prompt to check to see if any of my files were corrupted and everything showed up as 0 so no corruption. So I think my issue is that when my PC starts up it sees that the AMD Master Ryzen app and UEFI have different processor settings so it responds by giving me the BSOD. Any help would be appreciated. And please don’t roast me in the comments I realize I made a mistake. I just want this fixed. Worst comes to worst I can just reformat my SSD because all of my games and Microsoft office docs are saved on my 2TB harddrive. Thanks

You said you think you applied too much voltage, but you didn't say how much you applied. Also, Ryzen master is inferior to BIOS overclocking.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

That’s because I don’t remember what I changed the voltage to I apologize

so is that your processor AMD Ryzen 5 1600 has a Unlocked Feature? if your PC did not boot after you overclock, try Reset the Bios

I already tried to reset the processor settings in my UEFI/BIOS and that’s what led to the BSOD loop

Above 1,5 volts?

Take out the motherboardbattery and let and powercycle a couple of times to drain the capacitors. (Turn on without PSU being on)

Plug the battery back in and boot. Get CPUz and check voltage

No I believe it was 1.4

1.4 should be fine, what clocks were your trying?

For reference I have mine at 4.1ghz at 3.75v, but your milage will vary depending on silicone.

I had mine running at 1.4v for a while, but then realised I could get the voltage lower, so you shouldnt have had a problem

Did you set it to 1,4 volts offset in BIOS?

If its just 1,4 its fine.

Take out BIOS battery and powercycle and it should be reset.

Edit: Nvm i just scimmed through the post again. Chip should be fine, does it stop bootlooping? Because it could just be testing after a failed overclock

get an old hard drive (80gb) then install windows on it, replace your drives with it then boot into it, if it works then you will probably only have to re-install windows on your ssd, if not then go into the bios and revert everything to original states. save and exit, if that doesn't work then go to a different pc and put the latest bios on a flash drive (if you already have latest bios then go to 1 before the one you were using, it shouldn't have any negative effects with 1st gen ryzen), go into the bios and reflash it. if that doesnt work then i think you may have fried your motherboard:( hope this helps:)

Have a nice day:)

When your machine is booting to windows hit f8 and keep tapping it. Go in to the advanced boot menu and choose to boot in to safe mode. Once in windows go to your add/remove program manager and uninstall ryzen master. Restart and try going back in to normal windows.

Also check you didn't change your sata settings from AHCI to IDE or vice-versa.. you should be using AHCI though... so if you did set it up for IDE I can tell you how to fix that as well.
