Higher Resolution = CPU or GPU Intensive?

Hi, 

 

I want to understand when the load is more on the GPU and less on CPU and vis versa? If i increase resoultion is it more demanding on GPU and less on CPU?

Increase in resolution will be more demanding on the GPU.

Higher resolution is on the GPU.

 

Increasing resolution to say 4k, will still put (near enough)the same load as 1080p would on the CPU, but a lot more load on the GPU.

The CPU is doing the "stuff that is complicated" like managing AI and loading the right textures and the likes. Increasing the resolution is not  a"complicated" task.

Higher resolution is RAM intensive so 128GB is a must.

There will be bottleneck on the CPU when you game on 1080p with a very good GPU like 1070 up to 2080Ti.

So the best is 1440p. 4K is lovely though but then you have to lower down the graphics settings.

Gonna be both assuming the card can keep up. Can’t apply some general rule with zero variables aside from resolution.
