Framerate issues with MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio

Reinhardt-

I am comparing my fps at 1080p and max settings with the benchmarks on this website and there are some discrepancies. The site says Rise of the Tomb Raider runs at an average of 167, whereas I'm getting between 60-85 on average. Again, on the site they have BF1 running 175 but I'm getting 125. I have not tested the rest of the games on their list but I'm guessing I'll be getting lower fps there as well. Otherwise the card runs between 60-65 degrees during gaming, with the core clock sitting around 1950MHz. I have not experienced any crashes or any other issues with the GPU.

ASUS Maximus X Hero

Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3200MHz

PSU Corsair TX850 80+ Gold

I have Windows 10 64 bit, installed a couple of weeks ago with the latest GPU drivers.

What settings are they running at? Are you sure you exactly matched the settings? because Very High preset vs everything maxed on ROTTR makes a pretty big difference, the presets don't actually max everything out.

I tried both, using the preset to very high, just as they have done for their benchmark, and manually on max. The difference is around 5 fps for me.

They give no parameters of what they're testing. They could very well only test the first section of that benchmark.

By API I mean DX11 of DX12. And are you using VXAO or extreme AA settings?

They do say that they've set all tested games to their highest quality settings. And I've enabled DX12 with SSAAx4.

Dude, you're rendering the game at 4x 1080p with SSAAx4. Meaning 4K. Not a big surprise is it....

I did try to lower it to just x1 but it was just a 10 fps increase, which is still kinda weird.
