Install Windows 10 64 bit on Dell 980 optiplex. Bios A05

Rockybaby

Hi,

I tried installing windows 10 64 bit on my PC. Upgraded from windows 7 32 bit to windows 10 32 bit.

But when I see the lag in my computer I purchased a 4 GB ram. Now total 8 GB ram installed.

But I didn't find the improvement of the 4 GB ram and found that windows 7 32 bit support only 4 GB.

I tried to reinstall the windows using USB and DVD, but It is not booting.

I downloaded the windows from Microsoft website using media create tool.

But still pen drive or DVD is not booting to install win 10 64 Bit.

Searched online and tried all the you tube tutorials but still not installing.

Please help me urgent.

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks in advance.

Dell used to ship those machines with their own specific install media (if you asked for it), and companion disks with drivers etc.

I don't think you'll get install media from the support site, but if they made a management disk for it, you should be able to get and burn that.

Lots of the management disks were bootable, and gave an environment that front-loaded drivers etc missing from the standard install media of the day.

Use dell's support site, put in your service tag or "express service code" and see what's available.
