Not really... unless you're doing an extremely compact build with little/no airflow and/or are doing heavy overclocking and planning on keeping it overclocked.

 

It also depends what processor you're planning on putting in it, Ryzen 5 build with heavy OC will be fine with the existing cooling, but a Ryzen 7 build with a moderate OC wouldn't hurt to have the extra VRM cooling. with the monoblock. 

 

Those boards already have adequate VRM heat-sinks on them given you have good airflow in your case, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

do you need a monoblock to run a chip in those boards? absolutely not. you could run any chip in those boards with just the stock VRM heatsinks.

do you plan on overclocking a lot and do you want the extra stability? then you might want to look into a monoblock. or as stated above in a case with next to 0 airflow, a monoblock might aswell be worth considering.

 

in all other scenario's it is really not needed, tough they look really cool too ;)
