Yes, you cannot go over stock voltage. This is an instant degradation of the chip and this voids your warranty in the eyes of the manufacturer. How ever if you buy from a retailer that will not check for this you can get away with it. For instance Amazon will not check with the manufacturer for a return, you could overclock it to death and they would issues a return or refund and wouldn't even bother to check as they have no interest in this, whereas others will and will issue a return via the manufacturer.

As long as you stay at or below 1,35 volts on that mobo you will be fine.

 

If your are using the stock cooler you wont be able to overclock too far

Very good point, being covered by good cooling should be your first priority.

Also not frying the motherboard. As that ASrock board does not have good VRM cooling, and the VRM isnt amazing. 1,35 volts should be max voltage, prefferably lower

Yup!!! People do not think through overclocking in terms of cooling ever, Also the number of phases helps a whole bunch as well for stable power delivery.

Oh, thought it was ASrock for a minute.

 

Do you have the stock cooler?

 

If so

 

Set clockspeed target at 3,8ghz and up voltage untill it is stable. Should be at around 1,32 ish. 

 

Run stresstest to test stability. Watch out for temps as the stock cooler isnt good for ovetclocking

You will need a better cooler to start and i would only recommend a very light overclock, you should use the automatic overclock from your bios or use ryzen master to give a small bump to 3.7 to 3.8 Ghz. the power delivery is fairly small on your board and your VRMs will heat up quite fast.
