Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG Full Tower

or

Fractal Design Define R6 Mid Tower

Both are awesome, but I'm mainly having trouble deciding on whether to get a mid or a full tower. Thoughts?

There's nothing the Enthoo Pro Can do that the Define R6 cant do (other than 2 extra 3.5" bays and the 200mm fan support)

Full towers are rarely "needed" these days. Though the Define R6 does push the limits of what a "Mid tower" is defined as.

This.  Coming from older mid towers, the R6 is so well laid out and usable, it's basically a full tower in use.

Love looking at and working in the R6.   It's no 2006 Antec Nine Hundred but it's close :)

There's no standardized distinction between a mid and full tower. I'd personally classify the R6 as a full tower.

For reference, the footprint of the R6 is 126519mm² whereas the the Enthoo Pro is 129250mm² -- a "massive" 2% difference.

It's too big imo. Most systems would be fine with a much more compact case like the Define C -- footprint is 83790mm² for comparison.

The footprints are similar yes, but the volume is about 17% more due to the height of the Enthoo Pro

Define R6 - 58.8L

Enthoo Pro TG - 69.1L

They probably should start classifying anything over 50L of volume as Full tower. At least give it some form of definition.

Thanks yall! I think i'm going to settle on the R6.

If I may ask quickly, which R6 is the right one to get? @TVwazhere @jstudrawa

There is the,

- Fractal Design Define R6 Mid-Tower Tempered Glass Case

- Fractal Design Define R6 USB-C TG Mid-Tower E-ATX Case

The USB one is more expensive. Is it just extra USB ports or something else?

As @WoodenMarker stated, the R6 USB C simply comes with the Type C connector, which previously was a separate "add on" you had to buy. If you dont care about Type C support (or your motherboard doesn't have the USB 3.1 gen 2 header) you can save money and get the non USB C version (and always have the option to buy the front I/O in the future)
