So just for fun, I was wondering if I could use a router or WiFi extender to make, kind of my own version of the internet. Yeah before you say "there is no point", I just want to do this for fun and maybe make use of it. Basically I am thinking there is some software I can get where I can plug like a router or something and connect other computers to it, and use a web browser to browse my own stuff. Thanks!

I mean you can connect computers together without connecthing them to the internet and setup your own servers.

This is kinda what a LAN is just with a router that gives access to the outside world.

Yeah, I know in Windows I can create a network in control panel, but I was wondering what kind of software I would need or settings in order to configure my router to send a wireless stuff. Idk

You just need a access point.

A dhcp server makes it easier as you can have auto ip allocation.

I'd have to go with "there is no point", as you are basically replicated what your LAN already is.

Install a web server on your PC or another PC on the network and bam, there it is.
