Im putting together a build in an NCase M1 and need some mass storage. So far I have a 256GB Samsung 960EVO M.2 SSD but am planning on putting another M.2 SSD and a HDD into the system.

Please give me some recommendations. For the SSD, I can go for either the WD Black NVME 512GB ($121) or Samsung 970EVO ($153) - I am also open to other options!

As for HDD, I want something around 4TB as I currently have 4TB in my current PC and its already 3/4 full. It needs to be a SINGLE drive. Options are as follows:

1. WD Blue 4TB 5200rpm $98

2. Seagate Barracuda 4TB 5200rpm $92

3. Seagate EXOS 4TB 7200rpm $150

Which option would be the quietest (and preferably coldest too)? Can't seem to find WD Black HDDs here anymore but can also include WD Gold/Seagate Skyhawk/Seagate IronWolf etc

For the ssd, id get a 1tb sata ssd, like the mx500 or 860 evo.

For hdd, Id get the blue or barracuda, probably the barracuda here. I have used simmilar drives, there pretty quiet and work well. Speed is pretty good for a hdd aswell.

The cheapest 1TB M.2 SSD is $190 for NGFF, compared to $120-$150 for 512GB (which is already quite good) for NVME. 768GB of SSD Storage should be enough ?

Its this just for games?

Then id get something like a 660p or sx8200. The performance difference with a high end ssd is very small, just get a low end nvme drive. You won't notice it.

I do a lot of adobe work with large size artboards (print banners that are around 30ft x 7ft) with some gaming on the side. Im carrying over the 256 960EVO from my current computer - might just skip the second SSD until I need it.

Id get a ssd for projects, its a lot faster than doing it on a hdd. But the speed of sata vs nvme will make a small difference.
