Best cheap headset?

Hello!

I'm looking for a cheap headset.
My budget is around $40-$50.

I want it to have good sound quality with little or no distortion at high volumes if possible and a clear mic.

God no, this is  garbage. And it's not 40-50$

I bought one and didn't bother to use it for a while and when decided the mic was horrible via USB and analog on my desktop. Even more horrible with USB on the laptop and slightly better with analog on it.

It also doesn't let you play with microphone settings through Windows if you are using the USB.

After some digging I found other people have the same issues with the mic and some "fixed" it by using other usb card...which didn't work great for me when I tried my old creative usb card.

I'd say buy some cheap Logitech or Sennheiser.

You had a bad experience with them? They are generally regarded as very good headphones......

Next to anything from SuperLux. 

They are basically clones of much more expensive headphones, but for cheap. And not in a bad way. They are actually good for the price. I have the HD660 and they are nice sounding even at higher volume

 

I had the HD668B as well before, but they broke and the separate "head pads" on top digs into your head and is overall uncomfortable. So I wouldn't recommend that kind of headphone.

Another advantage for them is if you're looking for replacement ear pads, you can get them easily if you look up the ones made for the headphones it's based on. (Like for my HD660, it's based on the Beyerdynamic DT-770)

 

As for the mic, just get a desk mounted mic. It will sound better than any headset mic.

Well, HyperX is basically Razer.

It doesn't seem that I'm the only having issues with Cloud II.

Mic is so bad I don't wanna torture my friends on Discord lol.

I got a Kotion Each G1000 about a year ago for 24 USD on Amazon, and it hasn't given me any problems at all. Sound quality is good, nothing too special, but the microphone quality is phenomenal. My friends say it's almost like I'm in the same room as them when I use the headset's mic too. The plastic housing is kind of typical for a cheap chinese headset, but the electronic parts are solid.

 

It's also got RGB LEDs, if you're into that.
