Which laptop for school?

Hello, i just enrolled into university and I realised I will need a laptop to help with my assigments as computers in school are terrible. Budget is around 700-900EUR. 

Im studying programming so I would like :

• an i5 atleast,
• SSD( i can install it myself so it isnt a huge problem if it doesn't have one out of the box),
• graphics wise I don't really care, I doubt i will play games on it.,
• Long battery life,
• Thin and not a 10kg brick.

I was looking at the Xiaomi Notebook Pro https://www.gearbest.com/laptops/pp_786412.html?wid=89&lkid=13331729 located in an EU warehouse. I love the styling and battery life is amazing. But im a bit scared of ordering on gearbest, are there any other laptos like this one?

I can probably get any laptop so its not only¸ the ones that are in online stores. The more battery life the better, about weight I dont know the less the better, never had a laptop so I dont know what is heavy and what is light for a laptop.
