Hi,

I just ordered the parts for my new pc and got the idea that I might wanne use a DualShock controller. I've read that for it to connect wirelessly it need at least Bluetooth 2.0. The MB I ordered (the Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming) doesn't have BT but  have a M.2 slot left, so I thought I could use a M.2 wifi card. The card of choise and kinda the only option turned out to be the Intel Wireless-AC 8265.

After a bit of research I concluded that I have following problems:

#1: the card uses the A+E-Key but the Slot on the MB is a M-key

#2: the card has the 2230 format but the MB only supports formats greater or equal to 2243

Other option to get BT would be to use an BT USB-Adapter or a PCIe-Card. I'd like to avoid USB because it takes up an USB-Slot. Also I'd like to avoid PCIe because of the big antennas on the back.

The reason I'm trying for M.2 is that everything stays inside the case and it's relatively small.

The real question why I came here is to ask if you know of any adapter out there that converts M.2 2230 A- or E-key to M.2 2243 or 2280 M-Key.

And I kinda wanne know if my idea would even work.

My main piece of advice right now is avoid anything related to the Intel AC3160, because that dated chip and others from that  era don't play well with BT and Windows 10

Either way you will need antenna's for any non-usb card. I'd highly recommend a pcie one myself based on something no older than the 7265.
