Phone not turning on when there's active alarm

Hi,  a few days ago I bought a galaxy s9+. It is a really good phone, but I noticed something weird. When I have an active alarm and my phone is turned off the alarm does not ring. All my last phones I had didn't have this problem. Even my moms phone can turn on by itself and it is an Alcatel. Can I turn this feature on? If i cant is there another way to add this feature?

Have you tried maybe just leaving it on and just charging it overnight? :D

i didnt even know that was a thing.  Ive always assumed when your phone is off... its off, and no ammount of scheduled bullshit will change that.  but im not brave enough to try it for myself.  my V30 will keep on trucking for hours at night.  even with the always on display it only drops about 5% overnight.

This is kind of stupid. I have used it for many years and now I have to give up on it.

Seen to recall one of my HTCs or Galaxy Express did this too, but only for local clock alarms. Nothing on the calendar would work or Assistant alarms.

But as others have said, why does the device need to be off in the first place? Plug it in or enable do not disturb (with an exclusive for alarms) which will kill the radios if you're worried about battery life.
