Would this find at the top - Cooler Master - MASTERBOX Q300L

leegarnham87

Hi,

I wish to by the below case. But wonder if my coolermaster masterlquid 240mm radaitor would fit at the top of the case.

I wanted to have 2 x 120mm fans as intake at the front and 1 x 120mm at the bottom. Then have the radaitor and rear 120mm fans as exhausts.

Coolermaster Masterbox Q300L

Regards

Lee

If you want to go for water cooling for some reason (a decent air cooler is just as good), I would advise against that case. Try finding something bigger. The interior will be very cramped if you even manage fit the rad.

Should buy a higher quality AIO in general.

The layout of the case lets you mount a 240mm AIO anywhere you want in the case so long as you can line it up with the various holes.

You can also mount a 280mm AIO in the front, but only 4 screws will fit, works fine though.

*Also are you building a new PC or just transplanting a current PC?

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

It's really not too bad, that's a 280mm AIO even

So you're just transplanting a current system? What's the current case, or just post a picture of the PC?

The Q300L is a pretty solid case all around, though it will lack GPU cooling in the default config, just need a fan in the front to help with GPU intake.

The case has HOLE TECHNOLOGY and you can mount 120mm fans/radiators literally anywhere you can line up the holes. and they're all over, I think the final design only has like half of the ones in that render though, must be a very early render

This is my current case https://www.novatech.co.uk/products/avp-hyperion-ev33b-cube-mini-tower-case/avp-ev33b.html

Finding tempatures hitting 60 CPU but more alarming is Motherboard which is around the same, GPU gets upto 80c

Coolermaster at front as exhaust

120mm in the side and 80mm back as intakes.

Key specs that probably matter

Ryzen 5 2400g

Sapphire RX570 Pulse ITX

I think according to you picture i would mount it from the top left hand corner to avoid the motherboard

Okay

Yeah clearance isn't too bad (the SSD tray seems to be blocked completely though) , but heat could be an issue.

What kind of temps do you get with that also what procesor are you using. I will probably go with a very simular setup to what you have done

It doesn't officially support the 280mm AIO, but it will fit

I have a 1950X so temps aren't going to be comparable to anything else, as far as cooling goes it's fine if it's not summer and my shed isn't 100F, but obviously I should have something bigger for a 300W CPU under full load.

The Q300L is a perfectly fine and rather near case.

Hey

I finished my Q300L build some days ago.
I have:

CPU: i5-8400

GPU: sapphire Vega 56 pulse

AIO: Eisbaer 120 lt

Fans:

2x fans in push/pull config

1x NF-P12 redux-1700 top mount

The right picture was the first fan setup i did.

I had Problems with thermal throttling of the PSU, quite toasty Temps overall.

I changed the settup like shown on the left pic. My themps at the moment are ~60°C CPU and ~62°C GPU (~25°C Room) after 2 hours of PUBG. (med to Ultra, 1080p)

I ordert three more NF-P12 redux-1700 the setup will look like so:

I will Post my Temperatures when im done.

Edit: The Temperatures with the setup above (without the optional fan) are after

2 hours of PUBG 1080p, Ultra preset, screen scaling 110:   Max Temp. CPU: ~62°C GPU: 57°C
