Is my PSU enough

Hello!

I have spent the day putting together a build from scratch. I want to use all the components that are listed in my cougar Panzer Max case. However I have an old 500W psu. Will the 650 be enough for the build I have in the picture below?

I keep getting mixed reviews. I have people say I need an 850 or a 750w psu. So I'm reallu confused. I should know this stuff as I have built pcs before but ryzen is new to me lol

They're crazy. That rig would be fine on 450w most likely but there are no really good 450w units right now. Get an RM550x and enjoy your silence

Focus Gold has some issues with certain video cards IIRC

You know my thing with the Formula

SFX, doesn't really count seeing as it's the same price range as the RM550x, G2 550W, Focus+ 550 Gold, G550, G3 550 (come at me), TX550M, etc etc

Not really creme-de-la-creme of PSUs. It is a good unit but not top tier by a long shot

There is no G 450w, at least as far as PCPP knows

Well I think that 'people' don't know shit about computers, they probably believe that "more watts is better" and then go to a store and buy a TR2 just because it's 700W, shame on them.

a good quality 500W PSU is enough for that system

I'd make a few changes, well I'd change everything except for the CPU tbh but it's gonna be your build not mine haha

Yeah good luck with that one, almost everything even halfway decent (and many that aren't) have wattages of x50 (450, 650, 850, etc.)

just a number

450 is enough but 550 will give OP enough watts for a future upgrade

You're right but general rule of thumb for me (unless it's SFX)

As I said above the problem is that there's not any really great 450W units out there (RMx, G2, Focus+ Gold type stuff)

I went with the 750 watt psu in the end better safe then sorry! But my next question. Am I bottlenecking my system? Ryzen 7 2700x with a rx 580 8gb
