[Sound Problems] Echoing?

Okay, Hi everyone. I have had it to the absolute max with my pc. Its a meh-tier Asus K53E running half-way decent specs with 4gb of ram and an i5. But I've been having a BUNCH of problems with it lately and I have been on non-stop with the Asus support team when they gave up on me (le sigh). Well, heres the main problem, my friends on steam have been complaining a lot lately about hearing an echo when we voice chat, so my first instinct, since my old $8 stand mic and apple ear buds were giving out, so I bought myself for the first time an actual gaming headset. The Logitech G230, which I have come to love because it was budget friendly and I was finally beginning to look and feel like a gamer. (yay!) So now I've completely updated the drivers and there is still problems. I really don't have enough money right now since it was just the holidays to build or even buy a better headset (hopefully not) or a new pc (more hopefully not). So if you have any tips or advice please help :) I really appreciate it!

This happens a lot with headsets - there's too many points of failure where crosstalk can happen between the mic channel and stereo audio channels. Sadly for you, the only fix is to RMA the headset and hope for better luck with the next one.

Separate headphones and microphones are what we harp on a lot around here, and it can get snobish sometimes, but issues such as yours are why we are so against headsets.
