Hello everyone quick question, I was using Google Chrome and on Twitch watching a streamer. Then all of a sudden my RAM usage shot all the way up to 99 percent and locked my pc up? what the heck happened? The only thing I have done is uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled a fresh one. I have 16gb of Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz RAM, so Im absolutely puzzled why this happened at all! Please any input is GREATLY appreciated!

Chrome *can* be a memory hound, but a one-time issue is going to be a bitch to troubleshoot accurately. Always run a nice ad-blocker when online using Chrome, you might have hit a rogue ad that was infected. Hard to say

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

When the issue happens, can you take a screenshot of Task Manger -> Performance tab -> Memory page? (I'm assuming Windows 10, if using 7, the Performance tab should be enough)

If that's not possible, can you repeat what you were doing while Task Manager is up and periodically observe what's going on?
