Vertical and horizontal custom build

I am doing a new ryzen 7 build and I have 2 Asus strix RX580 cards.  To be different I want to mount one card in the top slot and the other card vertical in a riser with a pci extender.  Would this give better cooling to the top card?  Would my vertical card run slower? Is this possible?  Would love to see a build like that.  Hint hint.  Or if you can tell me if it's possible.  Thanks guys

Don't post 3 times. If it will fit, it will work similar to a normal configuration.

Actually wait, there might be a problem if crossfire bridge cable isn't bendable or if it doesn't reach.

And cards lime the rx580 do not use them.  It's all done via software.  But I agree,  I can't keep up with there being new tech and drivers every day.    Buy today - outdated tomorrow all a money making thing.
