Hi. My name is Tudor.I use a prebuilt system which i got in the "mining crisis" (brand new) for 1000$ (specs down below).  Recently, I wanted to start streaming. For that, I decided to use Intel Quicksync as encoder. I suddenly realized that the integrated gpu is "hidden" in device manager because it is "not connected to the computer". I've searched the BIOS/UEFI (I've also updated the BIOS but still no integrated gpu option appears) and there was no option to use both gpu's. The only way in which the integrated gpu works is when I unplug the dedicated graphics. Is there anyway to use both? Is it caused by a jumper on the motheboard?

P.S. : I also tried booting on the integrated gpu. Only works if the dedicated GPU is swapped out of the PC.

Also, if you want to see a picture of the motherboard you can see it at page 32 out of 67. https://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1036256286.pdf

I have a Lenovo Y710-15ish Cube with 16GB Samsung Ram at 2133 MHZ, and i7-6700 3.4ghz which always runs at 3.9ghz (due to intel turbo boost), a 1TB SATA 3 HDD from Seagate (st1000dm003-1sb102) and I have a GTX 1080 8 GB VRAM. As I've done some research I found that the MotherBoard is a model 364A made by Lenovo, with a H170 chipset. I have also the latest BIOS Version (O2DKT23A). Secure Boot is on. I run Windows 10 Pro 64-bits. System Model 90FL005XRI. I have the latest drivers installed. I use two monitors, a Samsung TV UE32J5200 (32" display) at 1920x1080 (16:9) and a BenQ E910 (19" display) at 1280x1024 (5:4).

@Tudor30

you need to Force Enable the Integrated GPU in BIOS, otherwise it gets automatically disabled when you have a Discrete GPU installed.

If there's no option like that in BIOS then you really can't do anything about it

Unrelated to the question, but why are you using integrated graphics? The 1080 is very good in games and the integrated GPU you have (Intel HD Graphics 530) is pretty terrible in games (about 1500% worse than the 1080).

@NunoLava1998 I want to enable the Intel HD Graphics 530 to use QuickSync when streaming. I don't want to use NVENC because it looks bad and the x264 would not be good since I have a lot of apps( like Google Chrome, Discord, Streamlabs OBS, Steam and the games) I play opened at the same time, which already increase my cpu load.

@syn2112 I thought there might be some jumpers to play with.

nobody uses jumpers anymore man, everything is controlled through BIOS.

i mean there's still jumpers available but usually they're for critical things rather than stuff like this, usually 1 or 2.

@syn2112 I know, but i thought that it might be a jumper that causes the issue since there is no option in the BIOS

Try connecting a display to both GPUs.

don't expect much BIOS control from OEM motherboards, they really don't expect their users to enter the BIOS so they put very little care and effort into it.

I guess that since its a prebuilt Lenovo doesn't have a capable BIOS

try getting a new mITX mobo .
