Storage For Youtube Videos???

So I Recently started YouTube and my main HDD is filling up From the big video sizes and I want a Hard drive just for recording videos. I was wondering should I get like a 500gb external hard drive or buy a whole new internal hdd around 1tb

build a nas that is the best thing that will serve you all of you DATA are there and if one of the hard drives fails there is back up
