First of all, is buying a used GPU a good idea

if yes should I buy a GeForce GTX 1070 8GB ROG STRIX for 360 CAD$ or a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GAMING X 11G for 780 CAD$

(Both are used 1 year)

I want my  PC to run games at ultra settings 1440p and 60fps minimum and I want it to be futureproof for the next 5 years

I'm upgrading because I have a I am tired of playing on low settings with a GTX 950 and I can afford a upgrade (800$ is okay for me)

I have a i7-6700

Edit: it isn't a 1070ti   and what cpu I have

buying a used gpu is fine as long as you buy it from a seller that ensures money back guarantees and such (like ebay), and get the 1070ti

oh okay you're good :) i would say a GTX 1080 Ti if you really want those Ultra settings, even though i think they're useless.

but if you don't mind dropping some settings to find a sweet spot, then a GTX 1070 Ti or 1080
