system restating automatically

Hello, my pc first freeze and then the screen turns black and it restarts automatically. sometimes i get the error message " display driver nvidia kernel stopped working and recoverd". i tried changing the 3d setting of nvidia to maximum power and turned off the virtual sycn but still cannot fix it.

my system configuration is : AMD RYZEN 5 2600, ZOTAC 1050ti, asus B350f gaming motherboard, 8 gb ram.

please help.

Does that happen no matter what you do or only when gaming or the pc is under load?

Usually, sudden resets like this are a thermal issue. Do you have a software to monitor temperatures of your cpu/motherboard and gpu?

no but there is one more concern that i guess a mice peed and i can see something on pci slot can that be a problem

i have tried gpu on another slot and i guess it was working fine

is it okay to use the second pci slot in asus B350 f gaming for 1050ti?

Could you take a picture of said "mark"?

 

Also, if it indeed works fine on the other slot, that could indicate a broken PCIe slot, yes. 2nd slot is also fine.

I don't know the B350 chipset specs, but having a look at asus product page for your motherboard, it seems two slots supports 16x, so you shouldn't have issues as long as you don't have many other devices that uses the PCI express bus.
