Asus fast charging issue

I've a rog maximus ix apex mobo and it says it has usb fast charging support, however it does not seem to work. I tried the 3.1 A port and the type c port but neither does fast charging. To top it off the software asus included, AI Charger doesn't work either. I previously had a z170 pro gaming also from asus which had working fast charging, even had an option in the bios where the maximus does not. Can someone please help me out with this?

Can you link where it says it has fast charging? Neither product specifications on its own site nor manual say anything about that.

https://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/MAXIMUS_IX_APEX/E12030_MAXIMUS_IX_APEX_UM_WEB.pdf, it says it will deliver faster charging times plus the older mobos had it, i think the problem is the included app not working, in the older board the app had to be accessed through AI Suit 3 and in the apex it's just a tray icon that can't be interacted with

Thats referencing USB3 specs, not actual Fast Charge feature. From what I read, you would need to have USB3.1 for port to have that by default. And since mobo specs doesn't say anything about it as additional feature, you are gonna need to use wall plugs for faster charging.

Well it sucks cus smaller mobos have that as a feature and the app asus included doesn't work, guess it can't  be helped, thanks anyway.
