Hi everyone,

So I've got a case that I'm putting together from a vintage toy and I think I'll only have room for 50mm case fans, unless I create a new spot for airflow. I've got a couple questions:

1) with a max of 2 50mm fans in and one out, will I have enough airflow for my planned Ryzen 2600(x?) and Gigabyte GTX 1080 mini GPU?

2) If the GPU fan and the planned Cryorig C7 on the CPU are both positioned to draw air from the room, do they add in any significant way to my positive case pressure?

Thanks in advance! This community is awesome!

no , not unless it's a full on high speed loud AF fan , a regular 50mm fan ain't going to do it.

you need not worry about case pressure unless your case is 100% air tight , which of course 99% of cases aren't. your case won't even create a decimal point of psi

2 50mm fans would throttle a 2600x pretty badly. What're the dimensions of the case? Could you post a picture?

I can post a few pics. It lets the cat out of the bag, but I need help on this concept.

Here's the pics I have of the "case" thus far

I'm not the first to put a PC in one of these things, but I might be the first to try and get a 1080 in there.

Here's an image by a guy named Jeff Good who did the same project a while ago. I'd like to emulate this fan placement on both sides.

There's also the area where the Solo film added "something" to the ship (still kinda spoilers?) and the cockpit. I can see small fans being added in those spots too. Other ideas (if there is room) is a thin fan on the exhaust ports in the removable cover (unsure if there will be much airflow or space there), and maybe cutting a bigger circle out where the gun turret is upposed to be in order to increase intake from the CPU cooler's fan.

Also of note, I'm planning on wall-mounting the ship, so the cockpit will be the highest-ish point in the case. Ok, so now that you know what I'm planning, any thoughts? (this is very early days still, and I'm still working on creating space inside the case/trying different orientations for the parts)
