Old powering an tablet

I have an old Nvidia Shield Tablet that I'd like to use for a photo frame and just use an wall adapter to power it. 

The battery is bubbling so can I remove the battery and replace it with a connection to a small ac/dc adapter? 

The battery has 4 wires coming out, assuming 2 of them are power, will the device still turn on without the green and white going to the battery loading circuitry?

 

Replacement batteries are not available for Nvidia shield tablet, which is why I'm looking to power it directly.

assuming you know how to not kill your tablet by giving it too much voltage, then yah it might. i think the two extra wires are for stuff like cell balance while chargeing but im also not 100% on that. I would assume it would work thoug

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
