USB 2.0 has a theoretical max. bandwith of around 40MB/s.
USB 3.0 has a theoretical max. bandwith of around 500MB/s.

Your typical pc audio stream does only require a max. bandwith of 576KB/s or 0.576MB/s.

In short: It doesn't matter.

What does matter is clean power over usb. A noisy power supply can generate noise in bus powered microphones.

yea am buying the corsair RMX850 80+gold! should be clean enough!?

Keep in mind the USB port may have more or less noise, unrelated to the USB 2 vs 3 status. So best thing to do is always test every USB port for noise.

The source of noise either has to happen at the microphone itself where the ADC is, the DAC at the output, or both. Anywhere in between is in the digital domain and noise should not affect the quality of the audio.

(Crap, I didn't want this to be my 15Kth post. Oh well)
