Don't choose the Hyper 212, it's a garbage cooler, it's overpriced, and is not worth your time and effort to install.

what do you recommend then?

I have then Deepcool Gammax GT rgb edition, and it looks great.

The cooling performance is also very impressive (max 70c on r7 1700 on 1.38V), but i changed then single fan to 2x PureWings 2 120mm fans instead, and my fan curve is set up for max 800rpm.

If you have the default fan then you probably have to have the rpm a bit higher, but the included rgb fan even at max speed is pretty quiet.

I would take the gammax every day over the hyper 212 evo.

Here is a crappy photo of the cooler with the included fan (the sidepanel glass is a "bit" dusty.)

On the foto there is the stock fan, but it is an old photo.

Currently i have the changed all the fans to BeQuiet ones, for silence. The usual rpm for my cpu fan is under 400.

But if you buy it and just use the stock fan that is also very nice, they include a really high quality fan with rubber corners for noise dampening etc.

You could also buy 1 more of the the deepcool rgb fans and use that for a push pull.

I just had the bequiet fans laying around.

I own an Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One, it's a great cooler that's on the same price bracket as the above coolers, and looks just as nice. The cooling potential can be found in my full review of it.

It is, those are the Corsair SP120 RGB fans that are projecting the purple there. I could potentially use one of those for the main CPU cooler to replace that stock Arctic cooler fan I have.

yeah.

Anyways arctic freezer 33 esports and the deepcool gammax gt rgb are pretty much equal, you just have to choose if you like rgb more or black aesthetics.
