Digitizer Replacement

Ok so quick question. Im about to replace my lg g3 digitizer and when youre seperating the lcd from the digitizer you need to heat up the edges. Can i use a hair dryer instead of a heater?

replacing the digitizer is a pain in the ass process even with proper tools, I am not sure if a hair dryer can provide enough heat.

You're better off just replacing the display as an entire unit. There's a reason why even the most seasoned phone repair techs don't even bother trying.

replacing digitizer need a special tools, you need to heat it to a certain temp, not possible with regular hairdryer.

you need a hotgun at least, the glass and screen is glued firmly, even if you succesfully separated them you also need heating to bind them.

if you ask a repair shop to do it, they would offer a full replacement instead.

but it is possible, like video below, its a bit sloppy, but it worked:
