Audio player

Wh0_Am_1

A common annoyance/security hazard on this forum is that sometimes there are people that have hardware issues on their PCs such as a dying fan, buzzing noises from their PSU, noises from their HDD, and etc. I think that it would be nice/safer to have an audio player built into the site so as to prevent the possibility of the accidental download of malicious files, and also save us the time of downloading an MP3 file just so that we can help someone debug their rig. Thanks!

Its always been super sketch to see an audio or video file directly uploaded to the forum. It would be nice to have something, I just don't know if the logistics of it make it worth it.

They could just add a premade one, there are multiple options available.

As far as I'm aware, SoundCloud embeds directly into IP.Board forums... oh, um, don't mind the test songs below @Wh0_Am_1:D I don't use SoundCloud that often, but when I do, it's usually for obscure indie artists who only have Bandcamp & Soundcloud, or for #soundclowns like the amazing track below.

Desktop: KiRaShi-Intel-2022 (i5-12600K, RTX2060) Mobile: OnePlus 5T | Koodo - 75GB Data + Data Rollover for $45/month
Laptop: Dell XPS 15 9560 (the real 15" MacBook Pro that Apple didn't make) Tablet: iPad Mini 5 | Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 10.1
Camera: Canon M6 Mark II | Canon Rebel T1i (500D) | Canon SX280 | Panasonic TS20D Music: Spotify Premium (CIRCA '08)

Yeah I think it's a matter of people just needing to remember to use the services that are available.  Don't upload a video attachment, just link to youtube.  Don't upload an audio file, link to soundcloud or something (or even youtube for that too)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
