Ethernet significantly slower than WiFi?

I've been using the WiFi antenna that came with my gigabyte aorus gaming 5 motherboard, and was getting decent internet speeds, but that mostly came from having a very fast router. I routed an 100 foot ethernet cable through 3 rooms, which may be a problem, and connected it directly to my motherboard. I tested with ethernet and got 50 mbps download, unplugged it and got around 200 mbps on WiFi. Does anybody know why and what I can do to solve the problem?

As you already referred to its likely the fact that you have such a long Ethernet cable without any repeaters. But I don't know much more as to what else it could be. Lets see what else people say first. Before you go out buying repeaters.

The limitation on Ethernet is 100m so you're definitely in the clear there. Is there any damage to the cable? Does it run near any heavy electrical stuff that could be causing an issue?

Check to ensure your router is set to 1000 not 100 in the port configuration option outside of that what cable are you using i.e. cat 5, cat 5e, cat 6 do not use cat 5 or lower

I wouldn't manually set it, you get weird autonegotiation issues when forcing it, that and he should be getting over 50 in that event to begin with

The purpose of looking was to ensure that it is not set manually if it is set correctly then he should check what cable is being used

The cable is a cat5e ethernet cable, but I still don't know how to check the router settings.

Mine looks like this, the ports are set to auto but the reason I say to look is yours may be set manually?
