Which one should I get?

Short and sweet, which one is the best deal/bang for your buck.

 

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FtW2 GAMING - $415    --> Core clock 1.61 GHz  / Boost clock 1.68 GHz

 

MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Duke OC - $450   --> Core clock 1.71 GHz / Boost clock 1.85 GHz

 

PNY - GeForce GTX 1080 $430  --> Core clock 1.71 GHz / Boost clock 1.85 GHz

 

I had already purched the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FtW2 GAMING for $415, so my question is, should i return it and buy one of those 1080's? If so, which one?

well you have the 1070 why don't YOU tell us if it was worth 415$ or not.

My opinion: keep it. From what I've seen in reviews, the 1070Ti is comparable in performance to the 1080 when OC so you are not losing any performance by sticking with it. You also bought from EVGA so you have one of the best warranties when it comes to PC components.

Sadly I have not put it into the build yet as I don't have the rest of the components. I'll be sure to make a topic once I do though and just give the community an update.

I have heard about EVGA's outstanding customer service. It never hurts to get a second opinion when it comes to your PC's gpu though. Thanks for the reply. I just figured since the 1080 can be OC'd as well if it would be worth the hassle of returning it and waiting on the new one to come in. I have seen the benchmarks and on some titles the 1080 does get a fair amount of frames more. 

I'm just getting opinions before finally settling down and building.

1080's can't be OC'd at all, so the 1070Ti is the right choice.

 

EVGA has the same warranty as most of the others, and they will send you refurbished items as RMA units (oh and some will NOT FUCKING WORK, cuz they weren't tested) but that's just my experience.

 

Bottom line for me:  Skip EVGA, they're a spit shine on an old pair of shoes.

Out of those the MSI, but I recommend the ASUS GTX 1080 TURBO

Well that one is $95 more than the one I currently purchased. That's why I created this topic, to ask if the performance would be noticeable enough to justify spending X amount more of money. Thanks for the recommendation! I wonder if that one performs well enough to spend an extra 100..

I was being a sarcastic dick.  So many people pimp the 1070Ti as OC'ing to 1080 spec, but the 1080 can be turned up too.  It's a poor argument.

 

Here's a snip of the PSU's they had to send me over and over til they got it right... 2 were verified as NON-WORKING by their own staff after I sent them back, unacceptable as fuck.

I made them send a full retail box because they wouldn't refund my money.  It's still working, but if it dies I won't buy EVGA nor the brand that actually makes the SuperNova P2 line.  Nor will I buy any of their products in the future.

 

Gigabyte... all day long.  They've doneme well for a decade, including keeping an e4300 OC'd from 1.8GHz to 3.412GHz on air for over 7 years on their DS3 board.

I don't want to spend the extra 100 dollars, but an extra 30-50 is just fine.

Without getting into the resolution you're gaming at....

 

Yes, get either of the 1080's for the minimal price bump if that's all you have to do.  If you have to pay restocking or other bullshit, just keep the 1070Ti, it's a good card.

Your looking at a 10% difference between the cards so how much hassle and money is that 10% worth to you?

If you were going to a 1080 Ti and getting a 40% bump it might be a different story.
