No. Buy a new PSU first, and not a shitty $20 one, but a proper one. What's the rest of your system?

Unless it's a really crappy and old psu which i doubt you were using.

 

I suspect there was a power surge when it happened. Might want to invest in a good voltage regulator or a good UPS.

Doesn't matter what caused it, when a PSU fails it's better to just throw it away and get a new one.

 

Oh, and don't ever open a PSU.  The capacitors can hold a charge for months, and that charge can kill you.
