Best is if you read the manual and learn thru there if u can't even provide your motherboard specs.

Depends on the motherboard.  Typically now you have the BIOS file downloaded for your specific board onto a USB drive.  You hit the appropriate key on your keyboard at startup to take it to BIOS or the BIOS update screen.  Then you just install the update from there.  Some manufacturers also have Windows-based utilities to install the BIOS update.  Further, some manufacturers also have the utility built into the BIOS itself with network connectivity so it can just update directly from the motherboard manufacturer's servers.

 

Knowing your motherboard model would help provide better instructions.  Also, you could just look in your manual.
