Case Recommendations

Hi, long time lurker here. I'm going to uni next year and am trying to cannibalism my current build to fit in a smaller form factor. I'm rocking a mid atx case with a corsair h100i, ssd, bd drive, 1070 founders edition, and a standard power supply. Are there any micro atx mother boards that support 4 rams slots and have enough space for my insides?

All mini-ITX are limited to 2 RAM slots, micro-ATXs however often have 4 RAM slots.

As for cases Fractal Design makes some really good micro-ATX mini-ITX boards depending on your needs. There a little pricy, but really well made, and will help a ton with management and fitting that H100I inside. Also with going the mini-ITX route you need to consider the fact you may need to use low profile RAM if your having clearance issues with the CPU fan, or GPU.

Most mATX boards support 4 ram slots.

Depends on your cpu. I'm not familiar with the new mobos of intel cpu's but the current b450m of ryzen has 4 ram slots. For the case, I suggest fractal design meshify c. There's a mini variant of this but the non mini variant would suffice since it is in itself has a smaller form compared to other mid atx cases.

I recently did that with a Full tower ATX to mITX

Yes there are definitely plenty of boards on both Intel and AMD that have 4 DIMM slots for your RAM. 

 

By BD drive, I'm assuming you mean blu ray drive?

 

The Bitfenix Prodigy M has a 5.25" bay, can hold a 240mm rad at the top, fits standard PSU's and GPU lengths and even comes in multiple colors and has handles!

 

*Edit* It cant hold the 240mm RAD and the 5.25" bay at the same time though

Since the Bitfenix Prodigy M doesnt hold everything, what about Fractal Design Focus G Mini?
