I am deciding between these two. I do not want to spend over $60 on a case, but I want one that comes with a couple fans too, since my build is budgeted. If you know one that is better than both of these, I am open to suggestions.

I can't see much in it. however if you get the fractal one its about $10 cheaper in white then any other colour.

i guess its preference the Rosewill appears to be plastic.

The fractal claims to be steel. I would expect this to be more durable and i don't like plastic but thats personal pref.

Go for the Corsair ones pointed out above, or the Fractal.

Yea, I think I'll go for the Fractal because of the two fans. I will probably add a rear fan in the future for air output.

Focus G and Masterbox 5 black are some of the better budget cases.

You don't need an extra exhaust fan, if you have a CPU tower cooler it will do that for you already.

I will probably be using the stock wraith spire cooler that is included with the r5 2600x. I do not plan on overclocking for a while too

It's going to exhaust itself most likely just fine in any event.

a Thermalright Macho is $50 and huge, probably should be your next purchase.

Are you building an entire new PC? if so what parts/budget/country?

I'll check the macho out, and it is an entirely new one. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/st9wD2 I already have the storage, memory, and os, and around $660 in US. I wont be using that case either

Just get a 2600 and overclock it, performance is going to be basically the same, could also sub in an R7 1700 but that would be a bit worse for gaming, better for streaming/recording.

You want an ASrock Pro4 or MSI Tomahawk B450 board, Gigabyte Ultra Gaming X470 is better for a max overclock but is like $130

For sure buy the Golden Sample RX 580 as it's more fun, and comes at like 1450mhz out of the box, also has a fat cooler.

you can easily fit in a better PSU

If you bought windows at retail for like $100 you can install it for free without a key

Also, I looked at the specs between the golden sample and the asus, and it says the memory clock speed is almost 7,000 MHz higher than the asus. How much does that affect performance?

Overclocking your CPU is as simple as opening Ryzen master, and punching in 4ghz 1.2V just save money with the non X CPU and replace it's cooler with the money saved

The effective memory speed on the cards is not going to be very different as they all use pretty much the same samsung/hynix GDDR5, the boost clocks on the GPU core are a big difference and the cooling solution is more substantial. Might even get over the 1500mhz barrier on it.

If you're going spend the $100 on the MSI Tomahawk, you might as well go for the X470 gaming ultra, as it has precision boost override, otherwise probably just save cash with the Pro4.

Oh, would the 2600x be more future proof though? And thanks for all the info, I really appreciate it

The 2600 and 2600X are the exact same CPU, one is a little better binned most likely, and the X comes with a slightly bigger stock cooler which is getting replaced anyways.

In the end the difference isn't going to be much but the price difference is now huge.

When they launched and the price difference was like $30 it was more worth it to get the X, now not so much.
