So I've been trying to play the BFV beta but my framerates are much lower than I expected. I'm getting 50-60 fps on low.

I'm running an i7-8750hq and a GTX 1060 6gb (it's a laptop). I've seen that BFV should run fine with a 6C/12T cpu, which I have, but framerates are still low. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

A) you're on a laptop and laptops have horrible thermals. (99% of the time)

B) Battlefield games are notorious for being heavily CPU bound.

C) Combine A & B together and I bet you are having a horrible thermal throttle on your CPU as a result to try and keep temps in check.

I thought this might be the issue so I had AIDA64 open in the background monitoring the throttling and at least according to it, there was none.

Maybe ram issue? I know the game uses more than 8gb of ram easy

The game is in beta its normal. Also, remember to update video drivers, 3.99 I believe is the latest one. What frames rates are you getting? Have you tried it with dx12 on/off?

I have the latest drivers. I haven't really looked at framerates with DX12 but there's a lot of stuttering and random drops compared to DX11. In DX11 I'm getting between 50-70 FPS. CPU runs between 3.6-3.9 GHz

is there even an option to switch bettwen dx 11/12? anyways i had mayor problems with stuttering in bf1 and bfv on a ryzen 2700x and gtx1080. tried everything and finaly got feed up with it last night. i had Windows version 1803 and reverted it to build 1607. all of the stuttering in both games is gone now
