Which one?

So I'm deciding between a Toshiba x300 4tb 'Gaming HDD' for $119.99 or a Western Digital Black 2tb 'Gaming HDD' for $116.99 and I don't know which one is better for performance.

Personal experience with both Toshiba and WD advise you to go for WD. Never had a drive fail with WD but I have 5 dead toshibas in the graveyard that's also a plastic bin.

I can't help if you don't quote me. How am I supposed to know if you need my premium support? Now starting at £399.99 a year.

Also, be a sport and mark the correct answer as the correct answer. It will help pour souls in the future when they are stuck and need guidance.

The sequential read / write performance difference will be minimal between the two, and yes, many would swear by Blacks when it comes to HDDs. Go with the WD Black.

I have HEARD that the Toshibas are crap, and I have seen more dead Toshiba drives than WD.  I would spring for the WD black out of the two.  Seagate also makes some good drives at that price point too though.
